GVN Charitable Trust

GVN PoDs is an initiative of the GVN Charitable Trust (GVN). GVN was launched in December 2000 by Colin Salisbury, its Founder and Executive Director, after spending time volunteering in Ghana, West Africa. While he was there he saw the tremendous difference volunteers could make in helping local organizations achieve their goals. Upon returning to New Zealand he spent some time researching the different volunteer organizations around the world and was amazed at how expensive and limiting many programs were in terms of volunteer opportunities.

After 10 years of community development work we felt that a new model was needed. After much research we have come up with an innovative model for development that we believe will revolutionise the way we connect, share, and exchange as human beings to help put an end to poverty once and for all. It’s called the GVN Village PoD.

The Great Big Project

GVN PoDs has teamed up with The Great Big Project which is a New Zealand Charity with representatives Augustine and Rosette in Uganda. Together we are fundraising to see this dream become a reality.

Innovative Designs

Our world is a valuable resource, every living thing’s home, we all play a key role in our built environment but also everything & everyone in & around it.  Mark R Grantham/Innovative designs feels a part of the positive solution to enhance the worldwide environment by planting sustainable, healthy and practical built environments we all can respect & enjoy!  I have appreciatively designed and consulted on international diverse projects since 1977.

The GVN PoD Village is a place you can learn, teach, experience, explore by connecting to the world around you benefiting ones self and needs of others.  It is truly a unique place expressing the sustainable, holistic practices shared within beneficial lifestyles & environments needed from here on. All structures relate to the earth from which they come, materials, colors, textures, serve multiple functions that benefit the world around.  Self supporting through water use, food use, energy use, people use in a way respectful of the culture.
